CLI

Read Bible translations and manage Lives from your terminal with the public CLI. Sign in through your browser or use registered SSH keys.

Install on macOS or Linux

Use Homebrew or the Bash installer. Binary packages need no Go or Python runtime. The script installs into ~/.local/bin; add that directory to PATH if needed. Installers verify checksums and retain license notices.

brew install bibleit-labs/tap/bibleit-cli
curl -fsSL https://github.com/bibleit-labs/bibleit-cli/releases/latest/download/install.sh | bash

Install on Windows

Use the PowerShell installer with PowerShell 7 or Windows PowerShell 5.1. It installs into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Bibleit\bin; add that directory to PATH if needed. SSH commands also require OpenSSH. Packages are not platform-signed or notarized.

Invoke-WebRequest -UseBasicParsing -Uri https://github.com/bibleit-labs/bibleit-cli/releases/latest/download/install.ps1 -OutFile install.ps1
& .\install.ps1
